PolicyPlus Administrator Editing Tools

The following tools located on the PolicyPlus Administrator Toolbar are provided to assist administrators with editing. When you first log in as an administrator, you will need to activate the following editing tools by clicking on the icons on the PolicyPlus Administrator Toolbar to enable editing of content. Once these tools are activated, the background colour will change to dark grey and they will remain activated until you choose to switch them off.


   Editing Checkboxes

The checkboxes on the page allow you to select one or multiple content items to the right of the checkbox. Once your selection of items is made, you can select an action from the Edit menu.

   Table editor

Selecting the table icon will display (or hide) table columns and rows on a page.

A red target symbol to the left of a content item indicates that a link is enabled. 

While in Edit mode, clicking on an item will open the Item Editor window. If you prefer to follow a link, rather than edit the item, click on the red target symbol instead, allowing you to follow the link.

   Draft content

Selecting this tool shows draft content items on a page in Edit mode. Draft items are identified with a blue pencil icon and highlighted in dark grey.

Certain content can be given a draft status, which hides it from the Preview and Live modes. This includes pages in draft on the site map. Draft content is not uploaded to the live site until its status is changed.

   Rich text editor (Mozilla Firefox only)

This button turns on rich text editing mode, which allow you to easily edit text styles and formatting within large blocks of text without having to skip between content items. See How To - Use Rich Text Editor for more information.
