CompliLearn User Terminology

Bulk Upload: Process used to create new staff or edit existing staff. Can be used to edit/create multiple or single accounts.

User: anyone in the portal

Learner: everyone in the system is a Learner, but may hold additional roles

Manager: responsible for the training of a sub-set of staff, does not have full administrator access

Inactive or Blocked Users: to ensure accurate historical training records, staff are not deleted or removed from the system. Staff set to inactive can no longer access the training content and do not receive any notifications from the system. Inactive status can be used for staff who leave permanently or temporarily (e.g. long service leave).

Welcome email: An email sent to staff when their account is created. The content of the email can be edited by Content Administrator. The email contains a link to create a password (if not using SSO).

Notifications: automatic emails such as Welcome Email, Learning Assignment Emails and Training Reminders will be sent to learners if notifications are switched on. See CompliLearn Optional Automated Notifications for more information.
