CompliLearn Login Options

Login Options

Depending on your circumstances there are up to three login options for CompliLearn.

  1. Local Accounts: accounts are created in the portal either individually or by bulk upload. Staff require their email address and a local (Go1) password. A one-time password link is in the Welcome notification.
  2. Local Authentication: accounts are created in the portal either individually or by bulk upload using the same email address as used for their PolicyPlus account. Staff click the Sign in with your Identity provider button and login with their CompliSpace account details.
  3. Single sign on: accounts are created in the portal either individually or by bulk upload using the same email address as used for their work account*. Staff click the Sign in with your Identity provider button and login with their work account details. We can also provide a link that will bypass the Go1 login screen and go directly to your SSO login (see CompliLearn Bypassing the Local Account Screen).
    * The system will auto-provision (i.e. create) accounts for staff who login using SSO if they don't already exist in the portal. However, we discourage relying on this, as users are not assigned to groups or training.

Local Accounts and Passwords

A link to create a password is included in the Welcome notification that is sent when a user's account is created. If the Welcome notification is not received, please check:

  • The welcome notification is turned on (see CompliLearn Optional Automated Notifications for information on enabling notifications).
  • The user's email address is correct in the portal.
  • The sender email address (noreply@go1.com) has been white-listed by your IT department.
  • The notification is not in the user's junk or spam folder.
  • The user's email is not marked as invalid in the Go1 database (the Go1 support chatbot can assist with this enquiry).

The password creation link and the welcome email are both one time only items. To create a password without the link/welcome email, provide users with your portal URL and instruct them to click Forgot your password and follow the instructions.

Moving from Local Accounts to SSO

Staff can be added to your portal and can use Local Accounts to login if SSO is not yet available or configured. It is important that the email address used to created their account in the portal matches the email address used in the SSO database. A staff member created locally and then switching to SSO, will see the same account information after logging in.

Be aware: Sometimes the email address used to login to Single Sign On is not the 'primary email field' in the SSO database. If your staff have two email addresses please contact CompliSpace to discuss.

Setting up SSO

If you have Single Sign On and it has not been set up on your portal, please contact CompliSpace to discuss.

SSO Auto-provisioning

The system will create an account for any user logging with SSO who does not already have an account. If users have been set up with a local account using a personal email address, they must add their work email address to their account before using SSO. Otherwise, they will have two accounts.

A user will see the error below if:

  1. they have another account with Go1 (e.g. with another training provider) using the email address in your SSO system and
  2. they do not already have an account in your portal using that email address.SSO Error Message - Auto Provisioning Fail

In this instance, the account must be created in your portal before the user attempts to use SSO to login.

Checking your SSO Setup

To check what login option is available on your portal:

  1. Local accounts only: your login screen will not have a "Sign in with your Identity provider button"
  2. Local authentication: your login screen will have a "Sign in with your Identity provider button". On clicking the button, users are taken to the CompliSpace proxy screen, where they can login.
  3. Single sign on: your login screen will have a "Sign in with your Identity provider button". On clicking the button, users are taken to the CompliSpace proxy screen, which will automatically redirect to your SSO login screen.
