Generic Document Links

Whenever a document in Assurance is updated, a new link is generated for the version.

This can be useful for tracking changes to the document, however, any external links that point towards must be manually updated with the new URL.

The introduction of generic links aims to solve this problem.

A generic link will always point towards the latest version of a document, eliminating the need to update any external links.

To use a generic link for a document:

  1. Locate your document in Assurance.

  2. In the Details tab for the document, locate the Generic Link field. The URL in this field will always point to the latest version of your document.
