Each of the example reports provided below has been created from the Administer >Enrolments screen. For reporting on a specific course, you can also go to: Administer > Course > Name of the course > Reports screen.
Be aware: unless you require your report to include Inactive/Blocked users, always set the first filter to include User Status = Active.
Purpose: Reporting on completion of training for all users assigned to a course or courses in the portal. Filter the report by:

The enrolment reports include all Awards, Courses, elements of courses (Modules and Learning Items) and stand-alone Learning Items. If course has one module with two learning items, it will create four records in enrolment reports. To report on unique enrolments (i.e. count each Course only once regardless of how many elements it has) there are two filters, depending on your circumstance.
Example 1: No stand-alone learning items
If you do not use stand-alone learning items in your portal (i.e. you only use Awards or courses), you can filter by Type:
This filter will remove records relating to Modules and all Learning Items.
Example 2: Stand-alone learning items
If you use stand-alone learning items in your portal (e.g. for communication or simple learning) you can filter by Parent.
Courses and stand-alone Learning Items do not have a parent. All Modules and any Learning Items that are part of a course have a parent. Therefore, this filter removes any modules and learning items that are part of a course.

To open the pivot table builder
Pivot tables are a very powerful way to report across multiple elements. Drag fields into the left hand column and top row to display a count of matches. To show a third set of data, use the settings in the top left-hand corner.
